
In the german DFL-Supercup on sunday Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich will be competing. The best teams of the last season, the best teams in Germany at the moment. We at divia let them compete against each other in another duel in advance: the Social Media Supercup. With our proven system (Link1, Link2) we now analyzed tht BVB09 and the FCB. This time we also included the Twitteraccounts beside the Facebookpages.
in the overall results FC Bayern wins the Social Media Supercup with 77:73. It is striking that the two clubs are also in the lead of social media in Germany. In all three categories – content, presentation and interaction – they achieve high scores as the main focus being individually different. Overall, the Bayern Munich is better slightly, mainly due to the high interaction rate on their Facebook page. another interesting fact: Bayern has approximately 2.85 times as many club members as the BVB, but 3.3-times the number of Facebook fans as the current German Bundesliga-champions and cup winners Dortmund. Or in other words: for any club member Bayern Munich has 27 Facebook fans, at Borussia Dortmund it’s 23 Facebook fans per club member.
